The pilot...

I have been interested in flying for quite a while. In the early PC days I took flying PC simulators seriously and learned quite a bit about flying. While living in Cleveland, I took a 4 day private pilot class. It was strictly classroom work, but it was my first step towards fulfilling one of my goals.

After I moved back home (Jacksonville, IL) I started taking flying lessons. My instructor, who had never seen a PC flight simulator, was amazed at how quickly I grasped the navigation skills. I attributed it to the hours I spent flying Microsoft Flight Simulator.

So, on April 12th, 1992, I acquired my VFR private pilot's license. I am certified to fly the Piper PA-38 Tomahawk and the Piper PA-28 Warrior.
